Information on the Yokohama City Residential Support Council Consultation Counter

The Consultation Service Counter helps people who need special assistance finding rental housing, including foreign residents, the elderly, persons with disabilities, low-income earners, and persons raising children, among others.

What is the Yokohama City Residential Support Council?

The Yokohama City Residential Support Council was established in October 2018 in accordance with the provisions of Article 10 of the “Act on Promotion of Offering of Rental Housing to Persons Requiring Special Assistance in Securing Housing”.

The Yokohama City Residential Support Council holds discussions to determine which measures are necessary to ensure a smooth transition into private rental housing and what special assistance is required for those securing housing. Our aim is to secure a stable supply of residences for persons requiring special assistance in securing housing and to improve the welfare and community development in Yokohama City by making it a place where people can live well and comfortably.

Consultation Service Counter

The Yokohama City Residential Support Council has established the Consultation Service Counter for persons requiring special assistance in securing housing. The Consultation Service Counter provides information on all kinds of housing and also explains rental guarantee obligations, besides offering various support services, which include monitoring elderly residents and other housing-related matters.
